Overview

The Dream Journal: A Manifestation Guide for Kids, is a companion guide and workbook to the upcoming children's book, Magellan the Magical: Or How Dreams Become Real, written by Krystal M. Harris and illustrated by Lorinda Tomko. This journal helps children of all ages harness the power of their creative energy to not only deal with everyday struggles like bullying, trying to fit in, dealing with complex emotions, or problems at home... but it also instills in them the positive mindset necessary to make their own dreams reality. This is not an affirmations journal, instead, it utilizes the universal principles of the law of attraction in an easy-to-understand format so that children can take hold of their destiny and their dreams from a young age. This is the journal for parents who want their children to use their imagination and create, for parents who want their children to succeed beyond all perceived limitations, and for the parents who want to give their children the secret to a happy and fulfilled life from the very start. Filled with exercises, mantras, writing prompts, and practices this journal will introduce children to the law of attraction all while entertaining them with a sneak peek at the beautiful illustrations from the book, which releases wide on April 30, 2022. For Ages 5- 17, this journal is simple enough for pre-k and kindergarten children who are brimming with creativity, to start to understand the concepts and begin exercising these easy practices... but it also works for older children because they can grasp the deeper messages in the text while also rediscovering their inner child who has might have lost sight of the importance of play. If you find that your child is stuck in a rut creatively or behaviorally, this journal will help them to see the rainbow on the other side of their struggle and to start imagining and manifesting the life of their dreams.

Author Information

Krystal M. Harris was born in North San Juan, California. She grew up on a chicken farm on 18- acres of rural property, and vividly remembers plucking chickens with her small 6-year old hands, as well as searching for mountain lions on the vast acreage. She summered in the Philippines with her father and became enamored with the concept of a human thread that is unifying despite apparent differences... something that would aid her future career as a storyteller. Harris studied abroad in London, at The Actor's Studio to aid in her storytelling journey and to discover how actors interpret scripted material. She further honed these skills in Los Angeles working as a commissioned writer for Beacon Pictures and helping to develop features for their slate. She has been mentored by renowned coach, Anthony Gilardi with whom she wrote and produced the short film Unvisible, highlighting the 22-suicides-a-day phenomenon in the Veteran community. Harris is an accomplished writer having penned, The Wonder Girls, a television film for Teen Nick, and most recently has placed in several festivals with her pilot The New Jim Crow: Majority Rules. Which won Best Pilot at the NYC Webfest, also garnering a nomination for Best First Time Female Director for the short project.
