Macy the Monkey and the Sick Day Bug

Overview

When Macy the Monkey starts to feel under the weather, she worries that it's because she did something wrong. With reassurance from Nurse Ellie the Elephant, Macy learns the truth: germs are what make us sick, not being messy or misbehaving. Through playful rhymes and cheerful jungle scenes, children discover that their bodies are strong, brave, and designed to fight off bugs with rest and good care. Written by a pediatric nurse, this story was created with young patients in mind who often feel scared or guilty when they don't feel well. Written by a pediatric nurse, this story was created with young patients in mind, especially preschool and early elementary children who often feel scared, confused, or guilty when they don't feel well. It's more than just a story; this book is a tool for comfort and healing. Perfect for ages 2-8.
