His industrial experience includes-design, production and tool-room supervision, planning and time and motion studies and method improvements in industries manufacturing drafting machines, diesel engines, automobile steering gears, hydraulic presses, and textile and packaging machinery. Mr. Joshi has been the Chief Designer and Methods officer in Crompton Greaves (Mumbai), Design Manager in Arco Whitney (Pune) and Z.F. Steering Gear (Pune). His academic experience includes teaching jigs and fixtures, machine tools, and machine design in Fr. Agnel Technical College (Mumbai), and Bharat Forge (Pune). He was also the first principal of the first I.T.I. in Goa (Panjim). Since 1992, Mr. Joshi has been designing tooling and special purpose machines as a consultant in Pune, and of course penning technical treatises to pass on the essence of his varied experience to the coming generations.
