Overview

Lina spends her days asking why she is in this giant building in the middle of nowhere. In this place, every morning a strange instinct leads a different person to throw themselves from the roof. However, without fail, a group of birds come to catch them and whisk them away on a new adventure. Lina reflects on the moment she had to do it, and how her friend left in that way. This fantasy novel is filled with hope and adventure. Lina vive su día a día preguntándose la razón por la que se encuentra en ese edificio gigante en medio de la nada. En ese sitio, cada mañana un extraño instinto lleva a una persona diferente a lanzarse desde el techo y a terminar con su vida. Sin falta, un grupo de pájaros acude para recoger el cuerpo y llevárselo hasta perderse de vista. Lina reflexiona sobre el momento en que ella tenga que hacerlo, y en cómo perdió a Alice, su compañera, de esa forma.

Alejandra Gámez is an illustrator and author of the popular comic series The Mountain with Teeth, which she's written since 2013. She launched a crowdfunding campaign to publish a collection of her work, which reached its goal within 2 hours. This is her first graphic novel.
