Born into a family who is working in the textile business since generations, he first studied textile engineering and manufacturing in Germany followed by an MBA from Webster University. He became a top manager in the textile and clothing industry for more than 20 years, before starting his own consulting company. Lorenz Wied is frequently teaching at several universities and post-graduate colleges in Austria and Germany, and gives lectures on positioning and differentiation as the key for brand strategies.
