Overview

Simplistic, modernistic, utiliarian and chic. This volume brings together case studies on four small constructions by Laurent Vuilleumier and Paul Humbert ('LVPH'), a two-man architectural firm whose offices are based in Fribourg and Pampigny. They specialise in intelligently developed building types that are both spatially aware and aesthetically pleasing. The erections in this volume include miniature houses in a park, with a ground plan of 5.5 x 5.5 metres; a visually poetic group of three small homes, and a barn conversion, which is due to become a fully functional and highly attractive residential building.
