Dyott and Eugene Brunner, who have gone before you. Attain a visual image of the conditions, hardships, deprivations, successes and failures these men and others faced on their expeditions into the Llanganatis of Ecuador. Numerous original maps and illustrations will provide a means to trace the explorers expedition routes as you travel with them into the unknown. Witness the insatiable quest for knowledge concerning the solution to the riddle of 750 tons of Inca gold hidden deep in the Llanganatis by Ruminahui, the thrill of discovering the unknown, that drove the personal quests of these men, or in some cases . . . their Lust For Inca Gold. Going well beyond historical background and what has been written previously, this invaluable resource fills an information gap, relating new or little-known information and portions of the story that have never been told, while clarifying what has been! A very interesting, intriguing story, that also exposes the military and political conditions and events in Ecuador during the country's transition from military to civilian rule, including the government's role in the attempted recovery of 750 tons of Inca gold!An expanded second edition of LUST FOR INCA GOLD (ISBN 13:978-1480049253) has been released with a SRP of $29.95. Author Information

A Vermont native born in 1955 and raised in the resort town of Stowe, Mr. Charbonneau traveled to Ecuador at twenty-three, fell in love and married. These seemingly innocuous events would set the stage in motion for this true story of a man and his dream, a treasure, political turmoil, coup d'etats, romance, deceit, embezzlement, theft, smuggling, espionage, kidnapping, murder and betrayal. Mr. Charbonneau hails from Vermont and Nevada, was married for nearly thirty years, and is the proud parent of five. First Edition Reviews & Comments: I read your book and I want to personally commend you on your perseverance and determination to undertake the painstaking task of separating fact from fiction in light of the mountain of material you had to sift through, research, fact check, and translate. While reading your book I was amazed at how you brought all the different facets of the story together in a way that filled in the blanks and gaps. Most people that will read your book will be surprised to discover that it is so much more than a treasure hunting story. It is a history book, a snapshot of the changing politics in Ecuador at the time, and a 'must read' . . . I would venture to say that your book is the most detailed and accurate account of the Llanganati treasure that has ever been put to print, and will become the definitive source of information on this subject in the future. R.P. - Georgia, USA Way to go Steven. Finally a book that puts it all together. P.L. - Vermont, USA That's really fascinating about Gino's involvement with the CIA. Gino would go on and on about his life and the Llanganates but he never even insinuated about any spy activity. M.D. - California, USA Thanks for publishing this book. It's clearly a game changer. I received it last week and I keep going through it. This is a lot of information and definitely a great step ahead for everyone. . . I am really glad you've decided to share some of your information and corrected many of the approximations we can read . . . With your book, you've obviously raised the bar and that's a positive thing even if it makes our work more complicated. B.D. - Florida, USA Steve, I admire your dedication to the story. P.C. - North Carolina, USA Obsession, love, political intrigue, deception, mystery, adventure, this book has it all, and the footnotes give fascinating information and insights from the author. Nancy - USA
