Betty Ann Fraley is known especially for her portrayals of beautiful, strong, and bold women. A costume designer for many years at State University of New York at Oneonta, theatre department, she is now focused on illustrating and writing children's and young adult books... Because when I was a child I loved books, but mostly I loved the pictures where I could drift to another world inside the beautiful illustrations. Fraley's work is shown in national and international publications and galleries throughout the United States.
