Apres avoir etudie a l'Universite de Virginie, Fran a travaille en tant que poursuivante et editrice de documents juridiques avant de devenir auteure de livres jeunesse. Elle habite en Virginie. Fran Cannon Slayton spent her childhood growing up in Manassas, Virginia, hoping for snow days off from school. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Fran worked as a prosecutor and legal publisher before becoming a children's book author. She lives in Virginia.
