Overview

LUMA ABCD is a publication intended to mark the inauguration of the overall Parc des Ateliers / LUMA Arles with the unveiling of the new building designed by Frank Gehry and the newly landscaped public garden. This book is a compilation of new, commissioned texts as well as images, interviews, and texts related to LUMA Arles by its past, present, and future participants both local and international. The material in this publication varies greatly from poems and recipes to theoretical writing and interviews with philosophers to create a dynamic and non-linear experience for the reader that defies the alphabetical ordering. Featuring contributions from Etel Adnan, Bice Curiger, Tom Eccles, Liam Gillick, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Carsten Höller, Rem Koolhaas, Bruno Latour, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Tony Oursler, Philippe Parreno, Rachel Rose, Beatrix Ruf, Taryn Simon, among many others.
