OverviewLuke's DreamCassie's Legacy - Book 4 Luke has always lived between worlds. Born Native American and raised under Cassie and Ed Havoc's roof, he grew up with one foot in two stories-caught between the people of his birth and the ranching family who claimed him as their own. Years later, with trail dust still on his boots, Luke rides back onto the Wyoming plains determined to finally build something that is his: a place, a future, a home where both halves of his heart can breathe. But the valley he remembers is changing. Railroad tracks slice through open country. New buildings rise along Main Street, all false fronts and fresh paint. Old fears linger in the shadows-hard stares that follow Luke from the mercantile to the church steps, whispers that say he will never quite belong on either side of the river. Even the Havoc ranch feels different as storms-both on the horizon and in the community-gather strength. When danger closes in on the land and the people he loves, Luke is forced to confront the question he has outrun for years: Can a man made of two worlds ever truly be at home in one? As fences go up and lines are drawn, Luke must decide whether to keep moving on or to stand his ground, sink roots into this rough and beautiful place, and trust that God's plan is wide enough for his whole story. Along the way, he discovers a quieter kind of courage, a faith that meets him in the in-between places, and a love that sees all of him-and still chooses to stay. Set against endless blue sky, wind-swept grass, and the harsh realities of frontier life, Luke's Dream is a clean Christian historical romance about identity, family, and the healing power of grace. Perfect for readers who love: Fans of Cassie's Miracle, Cassie's Blessings, and Megan's Promise will be drawn back to Cassie's front porch, where coffee, conversation, and unshakeable faith keep the lantern of hope burning in the Wyoming night. Yvette puts a lot of excitement in her book, and when you least expect it. I love the fact it's a clean book, but romantic. Luke and Megan's relationship Is beautiful. There are unexpected scary scenes, but written with suspense. A book where the characters show love. No swear words! I don't normally like books written long ago, but the first book that I read, Cassie's Miracle stole my heart. Chris Nedrow I've just finished reading Luke's Dream. What a fabulous read. I thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you. Please let me know when it is available on Goodreads, etc, as I will want to leave a glowing review. Fantastic book, well done and thanks for the privilege of reading it in advance xCx Author C. A. Ashity t's not my usual genre, but this book - Luke's Dream by Yvette Blake has changed my perception of historical fiction. The characters were rich and had depth, leaving me enthralled in their journeys and trials. It tackled sensitively the life changes that faced Native American Indians but also allowed for change in opinion regarding their ancient customs and lifestyle. The bond between Luke Standing Elk Havoc and the daughter of his adoptive family, Megan, is beautifully kindled and cultivated, blurring the lines between the two cultures. It advocates love and fulfilment, the simple way of life, and the destruction of barriers to life's possibilities. I was fully invested in the lives of Megan and Luke from beginning to end and found it a compelling, powerful, and emotive story. I would highly recommend this book, even to those who do not lean into its genre. You will not be disappointed! I am happy to leave this voluntary review and extend my thanks to the author Yvette Blake for entrusting me with an ARC prior to release. It was a privilege and an honour.
