He won the Dutch Stripschapprijs, a prize awarded to comic writers and cartoonists for career achievements, in 1975. Outside the Netherlands, he is probably best known for writing several Lucky Luke stories. Born and raised in Belgium, Morris moved to the United States in 1946 for six years.
