Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationDr Berman is the author of Foundations of Modern Freemasonry (2011; 2nd edn. 2014) and Schism (2013), described as 'two of the most important recently published books on freemasonry'. 'Foundations', an extended version of his Prestonian Lecture, has recently been released in a new second edition. Ric holds a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a Doctorate in History from the University of Exeter. He continued his research into the social and political aspects of freemasonry as a Senior Visiting Researcher at the University of Oxford's Modern European History Research Centre and as a Visiting Research Fellow at Oxford Brookes University. He lives with his family in Oxfordshire, England, and will shortly be publishing his fourth book, a study of eighteenth-century espionage, diplomacy & the lodge.
