Previously, he worked as a Senior Researcher on a Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC)–funded project at G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment & Sustainable Development, Uttarakhand, India, under the National Mission on Himalayan Studies. He also serves as a subject course expert for Environmental Science MOOCs approved by the Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC), Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi. Dr. Mir earned his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Botany with a specialization in Plant Biotechnology from the University of Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir, India. His academic interests include plant biotechnology and environmental education. He is an editor and reviewer for several reputed journals and has authored multiple research articles, review papers, and book chapters. He has also authored and edited books published by internationally recognized publishers. Dr. Javid Ahmad Parray is currently teaching in the Department of Environmental Science at Government Degree College, Tangdhar Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, India, affiliated with University of Kashmir Srinagar. He also serves as the National Course Coordinator for two Environmental Science MOOCs under CeC–SWAYAM, Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi. He has completed his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the University of Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir, India, after qualifying the JKSLET examination, and later pursued postdoctoral research at the same institution. His core research interests span ecological and agricultural microbiology, environmental microbiome, climate change, and microbial biotechnology. He has participated in several national and international conferences and courses across countries including Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Malaysia. He has authored and edited numerous books, contributed extensively to high-impact journals and book chapters, and serves as editor, guest editor, and reviewer for reputed scientific journals. He is a member of various national and international scientific organizations and currently serves as Series Editor for the book series Microbiome Research in Plants and Soil and Microbial Genomics by an international publisher. Dr. Sumanta Bhattacharya, based in Salkia, Howrah, West Bengal, India, is currently an Expert Commissioner Member of IUCN’s Environmental, Economic, and Social Policy and an Individual Policy Analyst with the Asian Development Bank. He also holds advisory and membership roles with multiple Indian ministries, including Defence (USI, IDSA), Culture (AS), Personnel & Public Grievance (IIPA), and the think tank CENJOWS. He holds a broad educational background with degrees in B.Tech and M.Tech in Textile Technology, M.Sc in Environmental Science, MA in Development Studies, MA in Economics, MA in Security and Defence Law (NALSAR, Telangana, India), LLB, MBA, multiple postgraduate diplomas, and an international certification in Public Policy (MPI, Oxford University, UK). He is a Ph.D. scholar at Asian International University, India, and a former Research Fellow at MAKAUT, West Bengal, India.
