Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationHi, I'm DEVI AHRU, mother of 3 beautiful children from Singapore, and I'd like to share my extraordinary story of pain, acceptance and grief with you. In 2003 our third baby, Satish, was born with a rare genetic disorder which doctors told us would ultimately lead to an early death. At first I was clouded with uncertainty, depression and desperation as I realised that my son's life would be cut short but this soon dissipated and I learned to accept the situation and decided to devote myself to providing Satish with the best love and care possible to help him in his fight for survival. Little did I know that this fight would ultimately last nine years and give me some of the most painful and yet uplifting experiences of my life. My time caring for Satish taught me how to use tragedy as a springboard for greater things and I hope my book can become a guide for parents and caregivers around the world to help their child fight their disabilities, special needs or terminal illness. Other Books by the Author: 'Loving Satish: Parenting a Dying Child' & 'When I Miss my Brother'. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
