Author Information

For Sandra Hughes, Love You More Than . . . began long before it was written on paper. When her daughter was young, bedtime often ended with playful competitions over who could come up with the best ""I love you more than . . ."" The phrase became woven into conversations, text messages, and even gifts, carrying them through years of life's changes and challenges. Drawing on her love of storytelling, Sandra turned that phrase into her first picture book. As a single parent of a child born with a rare disease, Sandra spent years volunteering at conferences and supporting families navigating similar experiences. Her belief in the importance of children feeling seen, valued, and deeply loved is at the heart of her writing. Sandra lives in Calgary, Alberta with her cat, George, who is the inspiration for her next series of stories. When she isn't writing, she enjoys reading, journalling, yoga, weight training, cooking, and volunteering.
