Author Information

JAN HUNT DAWSON grew up with her family of five in Orange County, California. She spent many days at the beach in Newport Beach and Balboa Island soaking up the sun and enjoying swimming in the ocean among the mammals. In high school, Jan earned a weekend scholarship to The College of Design in Los Angeles. She graduated from UCLA in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Her first graduate school experience was a four-year program to receive her credential in School Psychology. Her next graduate program included a Doctorate degree at California Graduate Institute in Psychology. Jan's next graduate programs included four years of studying Educational Kinesiology with an international license to teach and consult. Education continued with a Certificate as a Usui Reiki Master and as a Licensed Karuna Reiki Master. Above all education in the academic arena, Jan's love for painting included life-long workshops and classes in watercolor, oil, pastel, and mixed media. Now, retired, Jan loves to spend her time painting. On a personal note, Jan was born with synesthesia, the mixing of senses as synapses in the brain fire. She was very close to her grandmother who also had synesthesia. The two of them also shared the ability to see souls in spirit forms. Jan experienced two Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) which brought her closer to the spirit world with multiple aftereffects of her NDEs. Her synesthesia was also heightened from the aftereffects. As a child, these facts were hidden from her peers to blend in with the others. Now, as a retired individual, she shares her love for the other side with anyone who would like to talk about her Near-Death Experiences, her past life reviews, and her aftereffects... all about love.
