OverviewThis memoir is a coming-of-age story from the 1970s, a Huckleberry Finn/Tom Sawyer adventure down the river of life. We all experience these situations; some have more unique trips than others. Catch up with Bill McNamara as he starts college as a wide-eyed, immature boy, trying his best to figure out what is going on in his life. His time at St. John's University in Minnesota concludes with a lost love that started him on a quest for maturity. Hitchhiking for five months through the Western United States, he had numerous experiences that steeled his mettle. That included his volunteering for two years with the Frontier Apostolate missionary group in British Columbia, Canada. Upon returning to Minnesota, he had a few more adventures before he settled down. This occurred during a bygone era, never to be replicated, but it happens to everyone in their own particular way. All coming-of-age adventures are unique. Includes over one hundred color photographs.
