Love, Death and the Yakuza is a futuristic thriller set in a divided Australia and Japan at the end of the 21st century. The story follows Tulley, a trauma-scarred journalist who uncovers a link between a murdered Cambodian woman, a staged overdose, and a powerful Japanese syndicate operating behind the façade of the elite. As Tulley digs deeper, he forms a bond with Hanna, a human-rights advocate protecting vulnerable women targeted by the gangs. Their search for truth pits them against a ruthless Yakuza leader who eliminates threats without remorse. What begins as a local crime story becomes a deadly conspiracy involving immigration fraud, political manipulation and a society where the privileged live behind a fortified wall while the rest of the population struggles to survive. The further Tulley pushes, the more dangerous the consequences - for him, Hanna, and anyone willing to challenge the system.
