Overview

Louie the Lobster and his pal Sammi the Shrimp set out on a quest to find out what a 'friend' is. They search all over the ocean and ask everyone they can find, including Serge the Sea Turtle and Ollie the Octopus, if they know what is a 'friend'. Come and join Louie and Sammi on their adventure and find out the true meaning of friendship. The first in a planned series of advanced picture based children book for readers between the ages of 4 - 9 years old. The book (and series) is designed to act as a bridge between basic picture books for kids and the more text heavy books children are encouraged to read as a sign of reading ability and educational growth. The Louie the Lobster series is designed to address this 'gap' by keeping the story grounded with strong imagery (for overall comprehension) and layering in more advanced vocabulary and sentence structures (to build upon solid reading and writing fundamentals).
