Overview

Lou is a young girl in school who doesn't look forward to going back to school because she is bullied there. She meets a new girl named Natalie who shares a seat with her on the bus. Natalie comes to class late and gets teased by the children. The teacher tells the kids not to bully and Lou talks about how bullying hurts God. She encourages the other students to be nice to people. She says Jesus is hurt when people mistreat others. Lou, diabled and confined to a wheelchair, goes home and tells her mother how she spoke up in class. Her mother is proud of her and Lou feels Jesus' love. Questions for students follow the story.

Donna Jones was a nurse for years and also utilized a B.A. in Psychology working with kids. Donna recently decided to give up nursing and do what she loves by teaching art classes, making jewelry, and writing kids' books. She has five grown children and 11 grandchildren. She and her husband, Patrick, live in the country where she can let her mind be creative. My mother was an artist, and I sketched in high school. I decided when I retired I would take up oil painting. Since then I've had many opportunities to paint and give God the glory. Illustrating this story has been such a blessing to me. Painting is what I love doing and now I have time to do it. I know you will enjoy this book as much as I did illustrating it.
