Overview

Twelve-year-old David Andrews had to swallow his grief when his dad was killed on a rainy night in Georgia. Not only was he faced with having to care for his mother who completely fell apart when his father was killed, but then he had to help his mother pack up their belongings for their move to Florida and into a single-wide mobile home. His dog helped him face all his responsibilities plus starting a completely new school in Florida. Just when things seemed to settle down and David and his mother could get on with life, two nasty criminals and a mean neighbor came into their lives and caused chaos and near death to some.
