Pedro Simón (Madrid, 1971) es periodista del diario El Mundo y ha obtenido diversos galardones por sus artículos. Entre ellos destaca el Premio Ortega y Gasset 2015 en la categoría de Periodismo Impreso por su serie de reportajes en El Mundo La España del despilfarro y el Premio al Mejor Periodista del Año de la APM en 2016. En 2020, fue finalista de los premios de la Fundación Gabo. En 2021 ganó el Premio Rey de España de Periodismo. Es autor del ensayo Memorias del alzheimer y de las novelas Peligro de derrumbe, Los ingratos (Premio Primavera de novela 2021), Los incomprendidos y Los siguientes. Ha publicado también las antologías de reportajes Siniestro total y Crónicas bárbaras. Es uno de los autores, junto con Eduardo Madina, Javier Gómez Santander y Antonio Lucas, del volumen Perder la gracia.
