Hal Herzog is a professor of psychology at Western Carolina University and is regarded as one of the leading experts on human-animal relations. He has had research and articles published in the Chicago Tribune, the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Newsweek, Science, the Scientific American, and the Washington Post. He lives in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.
