OverviewThese are the compilations of 226 selected biographies (and genealogies) of some of the most influential men during the period of South American Independence. They formed the entourage, or Major Chiefs of Staff, of the Liberator, Simon Bolivar (1783-1830). Some of them stayed loyal to him throughout his life (or until their deaths). Others, became his bitter enemies and even attempted to get rid of him, staging his assassination on multiple occasions. It is set around the time of the end of the Napoleonic Wars, when many of the officers after the Battle of Waterloo (June 18th, 1815) were left without jobs, and under half-pay. Some lucky ones continued to fight in the Peninsular Wars, in Portugal (Grande Armee du Portugal). But most of these professional soldiers were literately laid off, and sought to continue their careers in the newly forming Republics of the New Continent: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador (La Gran Colombia), Peru and Bolivia. Also many were deployed to Argentina and Chile. Some fought in the Central American (Isthmus) forming countries, and some continued to fight for the independence of Mexico and surrounding Gulf Islands and Dependencies. The US had been freed since 1786, but there were still many struggles being fought-out, in the surrounding provinces in the Atlantic, and of course, to the West. These project(s) come as a escape-valve to show some of the most notable profiles that endowed our civilization, from the likes of George Washington to Simon Bolivar, and that were the pinnacle of Truth, Liberty and Justice as no one had ever embodied them in America before. It comes as a homage and tribute to the amazing people that fought bloody battles for our freedom, 200 years ago, in this the Bicentennial of the Second Battle of Carabobo (1821-2021), where the brave British Legion covered itself in glory, their banners and colors flying forever high on our lands. https: //www.geni.com/projects/Bicentennial-of-the-Second-Battle-of-Carabobo-1821-2021/4475174 It is the eulogy of the most formidable people, from all walks of life, that made a transcendental difference in our history, our world, and forever changed our lives for the better, at the cost of spilling their own blood for the most sublime, fleeting and greatest of all human endevours: Freedom in exchange for immortality, for Glory. And this is what this book is all about; making sure we never forget their immense sacrifice, and hold it dear and precious every moment we live. https: //www.geni.com/projects/Aides-De-Camps-and-Guard-of-Honor-of-the-Liberator-Sim%C3%B3n-Bol%C3%ADvar/56079 Behold, on the 200th Anniversary of that amazing year, 1821, the 226 Aides de Camp of the Liberator, Simon Bolivar (1810-1830).
