Lord, Teach Us to Pray . . . was the spontaneous outcry of a disciple's inmost being after entrancedly watching his Lord in prayer. Teach us was the plaintive plea - and immediately Jesus began his teaching lecture on prayer. Although this lecture provided the basic foundation for prayer, along with six great provinces for our praying, and laid out the conditions for answered prayer; it was in the upper room following the last supper that Jesus finalized his conditions for answered prayer and backed these up with his unequivocal promise, repeated four times that evening - Whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do . . . If ye ask any thing in my name, I will do it. This Book is designed as a biblical study into the meaning and intent of Jesus when he responded to his disciples desire to master praying. It lays out how we also can learn to pray as Jesus prayed in each of these provinces of prayer which have been overrun by King Satan, and have become battlefields in which we can unleash the power of God into our environments through prayer.
