Overview

This is the story of the healing of a soul. Ed was the Officer in Charge of the Construction Battalion Detachment in Beirut in 1983. Upon return to civilian life, Ed pastored a small country church. For years he ignored the signs of PTSD. Once he admitted that his soul was wounded, he began a long journey of healing through memory, imagination prayer, and meditation. He has since been able to help others whose souls have been wounded not only by combat, but also by abuse, grief, incarceration, and addiction. In this book, Ed, now Father Ed, shares his own story, the prayer exercises that brought him healing, and the testimonies of many who have shared his journey.
