Author Information

Charles T. Stelzried is a retired expert in the area of low noise receiving systems, working most recently in the InterPlanetary Network Directorate Technology Office at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. He holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California. Macgregor S. Reid retired from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, serving most recently as the technical executive assistant to the director. He is a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Arthur J. Freiley is an antenna microwave system engineer at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. He has also served as the system engineer for the Goldstone-Apple Valley Radio Telescope (GAVRT) program.
