Overview

"Lola and Yam - A day at the sea Lola and Yam is a nursery rhymes book series for kids, which got created from a mother. Her story´s and pictures arise from the shared moments with her girls, which love to contribute to her books. There are a lot of things to find and count, e.g. flowers, snails, shells, bees and birds. On every double page you can find a hidden ladybug. The Story In the first book Lola and Yam spend a day at the sea. The day starts with the way to the beach. At the beach, Lola and Yam set up their base. Immediately a sandcastle is built. After they eat together with the seagulls. They let rise a kite in the sky. Lola gets dug in the sand by her sister Yam. After they swim together with their floating rings in the sea. They warm up in the sun with their big towels. All of a sudden arrives a nice ice cream man. They collect shells. And before they leave the beach, they clean it up. We all love the nature and the sea. They are the most beautiful and stunning places to be. So we all collect our rubbish, to preserve our nature for human and fish. A lovely day at the sea is getting to its end. Lola and Yam join each others hand. The orange sun is slowly going down while the warm wind had really gently blown. A boat is floating back and forth in the sea, inside the clouds, there are figures you can see. The illustrator and author Dina Quitzau was born 1982 in Neumünster / Germany.
