OverviewToby Hardin's father is a colonel in the Air Force, which means that his family moves around a lot. They've been living in Germany for the last six years, and Toby has finally made the starting lineup on his soccer team. That's when The Colonel drops a bomb on him and tells him they are moving to Florida. Once he gets there, he finds out that skateboarding is king. The sport is the opposite of everything he's ever been taught and believed in. He's an outsider in a town where locals rule. Before long, though, he learns to skate and quickly realizes how awesome the sport is. The Colonel would hate it if he found out that Toby was skating, or that his best friend had started drinking. Toby has some tough decisions to make as he tries to be honest with his father, while hoping to be thought of as a local.
