OverviewLife is often experienced as a series of conflicts and aggressions, both from the outside and within ourselves. The Living in Harmony with the Real World series, will lead you towards a more harmonious way of dealing with the many, complex and competing elements of your daily life. These conflicts leave us exhausted, depressed, angry, and feeling generally unhappy and unfulfilled. Being more in harmony with yourself will bring more happiness, more energy and open up the route to self-fulfilment. Volume 1 covers; an introduction to the basic concepts, our relationship with ourselves, our family, (partner, children, parents, brothers, sisters and in-laws), friends and enemies. This book is written in a particularly friendly and accessible style. This book is a glorious mixture of elements of family and systemic psychotherapeutic knowledge shared by an expert in the field, personal and clinical vignettes, and humorous and entertaining stories. It brings home the practical and easily understandable messages this book is created to share. Table of ContentsReviews"""Wisdom, insight and compassion are dominant aspects of this book - I am looking forward to reading more texts by this author!"" This is a mesmerising book that when I started to read, I felt that I could not put down... I have read quite a lot of psychology books before, but this one is quite different in its accessibility and simplicity. Gedall clearly deeply cares about his reader and offers insights and self-help tools through guiding them on a spiritual journey. This stands out to me to be an exceptionally sagacious book, written from the heart and offering people tools to deal with their lives. It is also filled with common sense strategies for developing internal coping mechanisms. ..., the author wrote this book to be informative, on the one hand. On the other, he seeks to be self-help resource. When you take into consideration that what we are provided with comes from the real world experience of the author, we can place the proper value judgement on this book. We are given practice, not just a theory that sounds good but doesn't stand up to the rigors of the real world. .... who was the book written for? Quite literally, everyone. For me, for you, for your friends and family, even for your enemies. Chapters deal with the topic of friends, allies, family and enemies. In the real world, there is a place for all of these people. Understandably, the author has been thorough by addressing this wide range of topics. It is well written, informative, and will be a very positive resource to have for those people who are genuinely interested in finding a workable alternative to the everyday stressors and complications that modern living brings with it. Highly recommended for an audience ranging from 12 to 100 years of age..."
