OverviewLiving Easter will help you fulfill the vision of St. John Paul II, who said, ""We are an Easter people, and Alleluia is our song!"" As the most significant season of the Church year, Easter deserves to be lived well and celebrated fully, and few voices speak more compellingly about Christian joy than Laura Kelly Fanucci, celebrated author and creator of The Holy Labor newsletter and the Mothering Spirit platform. ""Living Easter celebrates joy itself as our Resurrection practice,"" Fanucci writes. ""Taking up joy as a daily discipline teaches us about feasting as a companion practice to fasting: an intentional sacred act that draws us closer to God."" With a stunning design, Living Easter invites you to embrace the Resurrection as a living reality, guiding you through fifty days of scripture, reflection, prayer, and action. With warmth and joy, Fanucci shows how to celebrate Easter with this simple, easy-to-follow daily companion--just open to the day's reading and reflection, no preparation required. Read a passage from the gospels or Acts of the Apostles about Jesus's Resurrection. Ponder a thoughtful reflection that will change the way you think about these foundational stories. Follow a heartfelt and brief prayer prompt. Take up a daily call-to-action, ranging from ideas for what you might eat or wear during Easter to lively ways that you can practice joy in your interactions with others. Each week ends with a longer essay, which breaks open the experiences of Jesus's mother, Mary, and the bewildered disciples, beholding the wonder of Christ's first appearances after his death and burial. These pages offer a worthy home for your margin notes, questions, and insights as you return year after year to reflect on the central stories of our Christian faith. Beautifully designed to be treasured and passed down, this heirloom book invites both your personal reflection and the shared wisdom of generations. Whether engaged in solitary meditation or shared in a group study, it will form your mind, heart, and soul in the abundance of the One whose love broke open the grave.
