OverviewThe book represents a compilation of papers on Ruminant Livestock production technology as well as the social policy initiatives required to enhance technology adoption in developing countries. The essential thesis of the book is that livestock production particularly in small island developing states is stymied more by the prevailing unfavourable economic environment than by the adverse affects of climate; the latter which has largely been mitigated by technological advances. The remedy is therefore to be found in creating a policy environment favourable to technology uptake by livestock producers.
