Table of ContentsReviews""PreS-K–Little White Fish uses his underwater world, full of rainbow-hued creatures, set out to demonstrate basic lessons for young readers. Colors pop against the black background, a purple octopus and green water fleas appear neon against the page. Each book includes prompts for the reader to look closer. Can they count a little more? Can they trace a line with their finger? These small interactions with the book make reading a tangible experience. Little White Fish and his Playmates features sections on counting, colors, shapes, and teamwork. Those concepts are also introduced in Little White Fish is Born, a softer, quicker take on counting and colors, with plenty of cuddles between White Fish and their rainbow-streaked parents. VERDICT Endearing and educational with cute animals, fun for little ones."" – School Library Journal Author InformationBelgian author and illustrator Guido Van Genechten won the Hasselt International Illustrators Award in 1998 with his picture book Ricky.
