Val Hughes is a published author, poet and digital artist who lives with her family in Oxfordshire. Formerly a primary school teacher she now concentrates on her artwork and writing stories and poems mainly for children. She has written adventure books for children such as Bertie Bones - Archaeologist and The Journey of Solomon, had her poetry published in several anthologies and written articles for StART magazine and the Artsmark website.
