Eric's wife Nancy is a retired oncology nurse and worked over 30 years at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, California. Nancy told me that I needed to learn more about my birth father and about my risk factors for my health based on my genetic background. As a result of this dynamic research and investigation this became a story of a life with many intriguing twists and turns. Author Information

Dr Eric Evenhuis is an ordained pastor in the Christian Reformed Church. Eric grew up in a small town of Pease, Minnesota (pop. 191) where his father Rev. Robert Evenhuis was the pastor. Eric graduated from Calvin College and Seminary. Eric received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary at Pasadena, California in 1974. Eric's career focused on psychiatric hospital chaplaincy. In addition Eric had a Pastoral counseling practice.
