Author Information

Melinda Conley is a proud Western Australian teacher, wife and mum to two beautiful girls. She loves to travel, explore new hobbies, enjoys yoga, and finds inspiration and happiness from being out in nature. In her debut as an author, she has combined her passions for helping children develop a love and understanding of Mathematics, and to raise awareness of endangered animals, such as lemurs. Drawing inspiration from her children and their collection of endangered species plush toys, the Little Lemur character was created.  Little Lemur’s Day at the Beach: A counting to five story will help children to discover the fundamental concepts and skills needed to understand counting, and to set them on a path to becoming successful learners.  Children can engage in the learning by role-playing the scenarios encountered in her story, and find relatable qualities in the characters and in the challenges that Little Lemur faces.
