Author Information

Corinne grew up with her five siblings on a beautiful sheep farm in rural, upstate NY. Falling in love with the natural world, Corinne became an artist, painting with watercolors at a young age. After high school, she pursued a BA from SUNY Potsdam in the fine arts, and a master's in art education from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. She became certified to teach K-12th grade Art. Two teaching positions later, Corinne chose to be a stay-at-home mom for her three children. When her children were young, Corinne began going to the library every week, reading voraciously to her children, filling in the reading gap she'd had as a child. The more she read, the more she loved children's literature and began dreaming of writing and illustrating her own children's books one day.Taking a children's book writing and illustrating course at the Memorial Art Gallery's Creative Workshop inspired her passion. She illustrated Christine O' Riley's book, The Wondrous Story of the Little Shoe, which was published in 2020! Little Hawaii will be Corinne's first self-authored and illustrated book to be published. In addition, Corinne has painted for 20+ years with Plein Air Painters groups in Rochester, adding to her artistic abilities in watercolor, pastel, gouache and oils.
