Despite life's biggest challenges and with their sheer Grit to pursue what they love, they broke professional-educational ceilings along the way and became America's female Nobel laureates. Along the way, they literally changed America and the world. Each woman is featured in her own chapter with a colorful portrait (at the end of each chapter). She lost four other siblings by the time she was 8. Her Tuberculosis of the spine forced her to walk with a limp. She became America's first-ever winner of a Nobel Prize and a co-founder of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
