Little Engines that Can and Toymakers who Create them

Overview

210 illustrations in Premium Color and personal stories from 1877 to today of the creators & creations of Backyard Model Railroads. Built to last and to ride by a half-million enthusiasts in the USA alone who buy & sell engines, cars, track, & accessories in the billions of $, in Book I. Train buffs today still recognize the accessible Miller Backyard RR products that, timeless even 75 years on, some still find & use, in Book II. After a fire, toymaker & entrepreneur Bob Miller saved Conestoga Big Bang Cannons, rehired its workers, did the same for a precision measuring instrument company and an historic gray iron foundry, ran a dozen other entities employing 600, and did much for his community in his short life, in Book III.
