Overview

Klezmer is a Yiddish word that means music. But you don't have to be Jewish to appreciate klezmer. There is something about these tunes that awakens an almost uncontrollable desire to dance! Klezmer does that. The whole point of The Little Books of Fiddle Music series is to make available interesting and fun pieces of music that the beginning and intermediate musician can enjoy. There are a lot of other collections available, but most of them are too demanding for the casual fiddler .. and there are many more people who play recreational music then you might suspect!The pieces in this book were selected because they are melodious and not overly complicated. In some cases, I simplified the notation even further to make the music accessible to a beginning fiddler. My goal is to allow more people to appreciate this music.The book is smaller than usual so it will fit into your fiddle case. You can use it on a music stand or leave it open on the floor as a quick reference when you are playing in a group.
