Author Information

Julee Richardson is a writer, artist and ADHD survivor before meds. Originally from Niagara Falls, New York she now lives in Northern California, where she is retired from academia, having taught students ranging from preschoolers to graduate students. Julee is a proud mother and grandmother. She is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo in Art Education, and also has a PHD. from UCSF in Human Development and Aging. Since her retirement Julee has returned to her first love, the visual arts. She is a respected ceramic sculptor showing her work throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Her pieces are known for their powerful expressiveness. One of her wall sculptures is part of the library's permanent collection, in the city she now calls home. Julee was diagnosed as ""different,"" when she was two years old because of her extreme hyperactivity and impulsiveness. In ""Little Big Spirit,"" she shares insights from her lifetime of living with ADHD. Julee is still hyper.
