OverviewStunningly documents the lives of privileged children in Russia, a country where radical history and social hierarchy still rule daily lives. Skladmann's collection focuses on the rapidly growing world of the 'nouveau riche', a world in which children are raised to become the future elite and behave like little adults. The portraits express the tension between natural character and stereotyping, touching on issues of family aspiration, ideas of normality, the loss of childhood and the constant desire for fame.
