Helen & Sandy are currently teaching middle school developmental, advanced, and intensive reading in Lee County, Florida. They are both National Board Certified Teachers, have been honored numerous times as Golden Apple Teacher Finalists in Lee County, Florida, as well as being recognized as Teacher of the Year. Sandy's undergraduate work was completed at Michigan State University where she also completed a Master's Degree in Reading. Her love of teaching is reflected in 39 years of teaching experience ranging from grades 2-8 as well as developing and teaching a high school remedial reading program. Helen is a graduate of Mansfield University in Pennsylvania. She has earned her Reading, Language Arts, and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Endorsements. Her desire to touch children's lives over the past 13 years ranges from teaching grades 1, 2, & 4 as well as 6-7th grade language arts & 8th grade reading.
