GREG WATSON is a Senior Lecturer in the Foreign Languages Department of the University of Joensuu, Eastern Finland. He is well published in the fields of stylistics and language contact studies. SONIA ZYNGIER is Associate Professor of English Language and Literature at the Postgraduate Programme of Applied Linguistics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She has published widely on literary awareness, stylistics and corpus analysis of literary discourse.
