OverviewTanzania has been trying to link the adult education activities with the formal schools for a very long time. The Education and Training Policy states openly that education institutions must become centres for adult education. At one time the country succeeded to make primary schools centres for Adult education. The author conducted a study to look the current linkage between adult education and formal schooling, especially secondary school. Therefore, this book is a result of that study.The book reveals that few secondary schools accommodate adult education activities. It is also revealed that adults can learn regardless their age provided that they are given opportunity. They wish all doors in the education institutions could be open for them to study. It is a very good book which gives an overview between policy and practice in the adult education activities in Tanzania.
