Author Information

Mark Pallis is a language loving father of two. He speaks five languages and can tell jokes in another ten! A frequent schools speaker on the importance of language learning, he is on a mission to make language learning fun. ""The phrase, 'They really spoke my language' is so amazing - it perfectly captures the sense of connection that you get when you talk to someone in their own language. And that's what my books are all about: making us feel connection. And having fun of course!"" Mark is the author of several popular books for children and wrote Episodes of the daytime Emmy award winning animated series 'Tales of Peter Rabbit'. James graduated from Falmouth University with a BA (Hons) in Illustration in 2007. He lives in the UK and is represented by NB Illustration. He loves the countryside, music and illustrating dogs getting up to mischief...James creates his humorous, detailed cartoon illustrations using a blend of both traditional and digital methods. He has a real strength for observation, characterisation and a strong use of line. He loves illustrating animals and people and is rarely without his trusty sketchbook to capture the world around him. His commissioned work often involves dogs which he is more than happy about!
