OverviewThe story of a 12 Squadron Lancaster Bomber during Operation Gisela. This book tells the tragic story of the crew of Avro Lancaster PB476, call sign 'Y', of 12 Squadron RAF Bomber Command and the Luftwaffe's final large scale attack on England named Operation Gisela. A crew of seven young men took part in their final training for bombing missions. They took off for their last operation from RAF Wickenby in Lincolnshire on the night of 3rd March 1945. It would sadly end in the Lincolnshire Wolds between Alford and Spilsby.
