Author Information

Jerilyn Marler--a former military child, military wife, and military mom--focuses on helping children and parents thrive during deployment separations. Jerilyn wrote ""Lily Hates Goodbyes"" for her 4-year-old granddaughter who was deeply distressed by her daddy's deployment. The book helped Lily so much that Jerilyn published it for all young children who suffer through long separations from a loved one. She offers cheerful wisdom and creative ideas for adults in ""Helping Your Young Child Cope With a Parent's Deployment."" A writer and editor since 1979, Jerilyn wrote three books about WordPerfect for MIS: Press; edited dozens of technical books; and has written/edited end user documentation for more products than she can count. Jerilyn is happily retired and lives near Portland, Oregon, with Dan, her husband.
