Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationCarolyn Balch has been a classroom science teacher and curriculum developer for most of her 30-year career. She's taught science at various levels at three different schools, Neumann Prep High School in Wayne, New Jersey, Rift Valley Academy in Kijabe, Kenya, and Lorien Wood in Vienna, Virginia. She began her career by teaching physics at the high school level. From there she worked at the National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian Institution developing curricula for school-aged children. Her next adventure was being part of a school start-up and writing its science curriculum. As the school added seventh grade she joined the faculty as the middle school science teacher.
